In-home care insurance billing for the hybrid and in-person models telehealth vendors cannot bill.

Billing visits delivered in a home, clinic, or school under the correct place of service, with site enrollment where the payer requires it. Telehealth-only vendors often refuse the model. Anvil bills it: place of service, site enrollment, interventional psychiatry, and school-based programs.

In-home care insurance billing is what telehealth-only vendors refuse. If you deliver care in a clinic, a home, or a school, we bill it: place of service, site enrollment, interventional psychiatry, school-based programs.

What changes off-screen

Place of service billing and site enrollment

Place of service billing is why hybrid claims fail on a telehealth-only stack. Each site is enrolled with each payer. Sequence matters. We enroll sites under your own PC when rental cannot cover them. Enrolling sites under your own professional corporation (PC) is part of how you own your payer contracts. That PC is papered under the MSO-PC structure for telehealth, for each state's rules.

The claim for that place of service still runs through telehealth revenue cycle management.

The rent-first choice is rent a PC vs own a PC. Ownership still has to fit corporate practice of medicine for telehealth. Already on a vendor? Start with switching from a network rental vendor.

Place of service and site enrollment

POS 02, 10, 11, 12, and 03 are not interchangeable. Site enrollment is a payer file, not a checkbox on the claim.

Facility and professional components

IOP, PHP, interventional procedures. Two claims, two fee schedules, one visit.

In-home and school-based

Travel, place of service 12 and 03, district agreements, Medicaid school-based programs.

Authorizations

TMS, esketamine, ABA, and the re-authorization calendar that keeps a program from stalling.

Specialty programs

Interventional psychiatry billing and school-based program billing

Interventional psychiatry billing

TMS, ketamine, and esketamine need authorizations, site enrollment, and often a facility component. We bill the professional and facility sides as the payer requires, then keep the re-authorization calendar from stalling the chair schedule.

School-based program billing

Medicaid school-based programs need district agreements, place of service 03, and site enrollment before the first claim. We sequence that work so the school year is not waiting on a portal.

Questions, answered

What is in-home care insurance billing?

Billing visits delivered in a home, clinic, or school under the correct place of service, with site enrollment where the payer requires it. Telehealth-only vendors often refuse the model. Anvil bills it: place of service, site enrollment, interventional psychiatry, and school-based programs.

Telehealth-only vendors turned us down. Why can you take us?

Because the platform was built for these models from the start. Place of service, facility components, travel, and site-specific enrollment are part of how we bill, not exceptions to it.

Does the rented PC work for in-person care?

Yes, where the state and payer allow the structure and the site is enrolled. Some in-person programs need site-level enrollment under your own PC sooner, and we sequence that first.

How does interventional psychiatry billing work?

TMS, ketamine and esketamine, plus the authorization and documentation those codes require. Facility and professional components can be two claims on one visit.

How does school-based program billing work?

Medicaid school-based billing, place of service 03, and the district agreements around it. We sequence site enrollment before volume moves.

Describe your care model. We will tell you how it bills.

Sites, states, license mix, and codes. We come back with the enrollment sequence and what runs on rental versus your own PC first.
